2019 Member Workshop

September 19-20

We broadened the conversation at this year’s workshop to discuss energy optimization in Texas and Oklahoma, and SPEER’s role in the effort. We heard from  Commissioner D’Andrea of the Public Utility Commission of Texas who provided an insightful (and entertaining) update on energy efficiency from the PUC perspective. There were discussions on Oklahoma’s stance on energy efficiency and what is happening at Oklahoma utilities and the legislature. SECO provided a state level overview of energy efficiency for Texas. Our Local Governments Panel detailed resiliency and how Federal, state and local governments are preparing their assets and operations for a changing climate, which seems to be more important now than ever.
