Ambassadors: SPEER’s Energy Code Ambassadors are a select group of building officials, raters and builders who have received advanced training and offer peer-to-peer support on the Energy Code. SPEER now has over 30 Ambassadors geographically dispersed throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Read more.
Texas Field Study: SPEER is working with the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) and the State Energy Conservation Office to conduct a DOE-funded field study of energy efficient building practices in new single family homes. We have completed the education and outreach to the building industry phase to increase compliance with the energy codes. Final building data will be collected in 2018 to evaluate improvement in efficiency. Read more.
