SUMMARY:SPEER's Building Operator Certification Summer 2025 Course
DESCRIPTION:SPEER is a partner receipent in the DOE’s Building Training and Assessment Center (BTAC) Grant. This grant supports Building Operator Certification (BOC) funding to enhance training for building energy efficiency professionals in energy-efficient design and operations in the south-central region.  Through this grant we are able to waive the registration cost and offer the training free of charge. By addressing workforce demand at the local and regional levels\, it helps bridge the gap created by retiring professionals while preparing for the adoption of advanced building systems and controls. \nThe summer course will begin May 13th and run through August 21st. This course will be taught live\, in a virtual format through Zoom with our qualified instructors. Spots are limited – register here. \n*BOC training is for building professionals with two or more years’ experience who wish to broaden their knowledge of the total building system. Learn more about eligibility here. Email questions or inquiries to Liz John at ejohn@eepartnership.org. \n\nTweet

SUMMARY:Webinar: Integrated Building Systems - Advancing Design\, Air Quality\, and Performance
DESCRIPTION:Buildings have evolved from simple shelters to complex systems requiring integration of energy efficiency\, indoor air quality\, and sustainability goals. This session outlines the progression of building design and highlights the growing role of indoor air quality programs. It will present a practical methodology for managing design\, installation\, testing\, and operations in today’s increasingly interconnected building environment. \nCondensed Learning Objectives: \n\nOutline the evolution of building design and usage\, highlighting key historical changes and their ongoing influence.\nExplain the drivers behind energy conservation and indoor air quality programs\, including occupant needs\, contaminants\, and control strategies.\nDescribe an effective methodology for managing design\, construction\, performance verification\, and operation in today’s complex building systems.\n\n\nSpeaker: \n\nGerald J. Kettler\, PE\, CCP\, CIAQM\, TBE\, BEAP\, REM\, CEM – Managing Principal\, CEO\, LEED Fellow\, Facility Performance Associates\n\n\nTweet
