SPEER Welcomes 20th Member: Carlisle HVAC
Austin, TX – The South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER) has now officially doubled its size since forming at the end of 2011.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Carlisle HVAC into the organization to join our existing members in working to push energy efficiency forward in Texas and Oklahoma,” said Executive Director Doug Lewin. “Clearly, air conditioning is a huge part of the energy efficiency puzzle in a region as hot as ours, and Carlisle HVAC is an industry leader.”
SPEER works to accelerate adoption of energy efficient products and materials through education and training, and by increasing coordination of energy codes, standards, and programs. Carlisle HVAC’s expertise and focus on duct sealing in commercial buildings will significantly strengthen the ability of SPEER to educate the workforce and increase energy efficiency in the workplace. HVAC drives summer load and much of the energy used to keep commercial buildings cool is lost through leaky ducts.
“Since 1965 Carlisle HVAC has focused on high performing and energy efficient products,” said Frank Forrest, Efficiency Solutions Product Manager for Carlisle HVAC. “ In today’s era of increasing energy costs, cleaning and sealing duct work can make a world of difference in energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and indoor air quality issues without substantial interruption to building occupants. Carlisle HVAC continues this proud tradition by staying on the cutting edge of sealing technology developing new products and application methods.”
SPEER’s other members include Dow Chemical, Austin Energy, Texas Gas Service, Panasonic, Eaton, BASF, TexEnergy Solutions, Trio Energy, NORESCO, and more. For a complete list of members, see www.eepartnership.org/members
